Stars: two-half-stars

It’s hard for me to write a review Art of Desire, as it was not one that I particularly enjoyed.  It wasn’t that it was a bad book; it just lacked any sort of real depth.  There wasn’t any passion – the sex seemed forced and mechanical.  The characters were wooden with not a lot of personality.  That being said, the one shining moment of the book was the storyline itself.  The idea of the story was incredibly clever.  Harker just needed to create characters with good chemistry.  I’ve read books by this author before and never had this problem, so I’ll still give her books a chance.  This one just wasn’t my cup of tea.
