Review: Eli’s Honor (Racing to Love #3) by Amy Gregory

How can you miss something you never had?

Retired pro motocross racer Eli Hunter had it all. That’s how he chose to look at things. A sport he loved, one that his entire world revolved around. He had been catapulted to rock star status and Eli drank in every minute of it. He loved the bikes, the tracks, the practices, sweat, hard work, training, dirt, rain, hundred degree heat, Eli loved it all. Even…when it almost killed him.
Coming full circle, Eli now was part owner and trainer at The Noland SFH Racing Academy. Spending his time teaching future racers about a sport he adored, helping to form them into what he once was. The academy saved him from himself, saved him from a depression that could have sent him on a freefall. For the last three years Eli focused on two things, the academy and his broken body. Spending all day, every day building both up, and thinking of nothing else. The end result, the school had taken off, and he could walk.
It wasn’t until he sat across from a prospective student and his young widowed mother that Eli realized exactly what had been missing in his otherwise complete life. Eli had been witness to his best friends Carter and Jesse, watching as they found women that made them whole. He hadn’t had time to miss that for himself, not when walking again had been so important. Not when proving the doctors wrong by putting his butt back in the seat of a bike had been monumental.
But now? Those long auburn curls and shy violet eyes were the answer to his unspoken prayers.

The third book in the Racing to Love series is a fantastic romance read that grabs the emotions and doesn’t let go.

Now part owner and trainer at the Noland SFH Racing Academy, Eli Hunter spends his time teaching future racers about the sport he adored. The only two things he’s focused on the last two years is the academy and his broken body and then a prospective student and his widowed mother makes Eli realize exactly what he is been missing.

The steady paced plot of the emotional romance engages the reader at an emotional level with its vivid imagery and intense details. The author makes the setting come alive and captures the imagination with the wonderful characters of the motocross circuit.

The attraction between Eli and Honor takes the breath away as both have such hardships to overcome to have their happily ever after. The author causes tears, smiles and laughter with her romantic and emotional journey. The reader can’t

help but feel for the characters as follow their journey until the very end.

This gripping tale captures the heart and doesn’t let go, and Eli who captured my heart in the first book with his fun and sweet attitude has become my favorite of the racing crew. The small glimpses I read in the first two books were just teases as his full character and personality was brought to life in this book.

The world the author has created is intriguing and entertaining and the reader has to finish each book as they open them. Each story can be read alone, but I highly recommend that they are read in order as the author does such a great job of portraying the natural progression of each of these characters lives.

    Eva….
Each review makes me cry harder! It’s that something special when what you work soooo hard for is truly understood by readers! I just want to grab you and hug you tight! Thank you for your time, and the love you’ve shown me and my books. I know I asked to have Mike and Alex reviewed, but you’ve taken the extra step in reading them all, then reviewing them too! Thank you seems to not be a strong enough sentiment, but ugh–I DO thank you…how about virtual hugs and kisses! Have a safe and happy new year and I’ll keep sending you books in 2014 if you would like to have them! Gabby is #2 in Finding Perfect and she’s 3/4 done! Little firecracker that she is!
Will all my love and respect,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
