Title: Heart Trouble
Dr. Erin Taylor would rather be strapped to a gurney in her ER than prowling Jacksonville’s newest nightclub in a tight dress and high heels. Forced to do that very thing after losing a bet to a friend, she’s surprised by the sparks flying between her and sexy police detective Sean Rembert.
Sean is supposed to be scoping the bar for leads that might help him catch a serial killer, not letting his neglected libido lead him astray. But the minute he sees the gorgeous blonde headed his direction, all thoughts of work go out the window. Until he discovers Erin is a possible target.
Their connection is red-hot and undeniable, but Erin is in serious danger and Sean will do anything in his power to protect her. Passion explodes between them, then a secret destroys it. Can they overcome the hurt and resentment to find their way back to each other before the killer closes in?

Take one hot cop, a smexy doctor and a serial killer and you have one heck of a story. Heart Trouble is on fantastic story filled with great characters, good sex and intrigue.
Dr. Erin Taylor is exactly what I enjoy from a female character. Smart, strong yet still fragile. Really, her character feels like someone I could know. Now Detective Sean Rembert is someone I wish I DID know. Yummies! Who wouldn’t want a hot sexy cop to protect them? And protect her he does…Hello! The attraction between them is smooth and hot. The sizzling part aside, I really enjoyed the interactions between them as well between the secondary characters as well. All the exchanges felt very personal and real. I was so lost in their stories that when it can time to reveal the killer’s identity, I was caught off guard. Usually I can guess who it is and then get bored waiting for the big reveal but luckily not in this case. I was completely engrossed in the story and am so sad to see it end.
Way back when I started reading romance novels, I pretty much would read whatever I could get my hands on. As I developed a taste for what I liked I found, there weren’t many book I enjoyed that scratched my book itch so I changed genres to PNR. Had Jenny Lyn been writing books oh so many years ago, I would probably still be reading contemporary romances. Heart Trouble is a fantastic story! This is my first book by this author and I got to say…Me likey! This is definitely a book worth recommending.
