Review: Heroic Abduction (Alien Abduction #5) by Eve Langlais

He’ll do anything to be her knight in purple armor.

Bucking family tradition, Dyre is determined to become his planet’s first hero, even if it breaks his mother’s heart. He sets out on numerous quests to save the universe, however his altruism never seems to turn out quite as expected. Who knew doing the right thing was so hard?

In between saving those who don’t want his help—and the chaos that follows—he rescues a damsel in distress. She doesn’t appreciate his heroic abduction, and even worse, once Dyre gets to know the outspoken human, he entertains less than noble thoughts about ravishing her.

It takes only a couple of comical mishaps, some hot kisses and danger for Dyre and Betty to discover their happily ever after—and thank the stars for a heroine who ends up saving this hero, and the galaxy, from his chivalrous side.

He’s big, he’s purple and he wants to be a hero, not a mercenary. Too bad he’s got bad genes working against him.

This erotic alien romance is an out of this world read that tickles the reader.  Even if it breaks his mother’s heart, Dyre is determined to be his planet’s first hero. But when he rescues a human female that attracts trouble he might have to embrace his mercenary side to save her not to mention ravishing the feisty human. Thank the stars Betty turns out to be the heroine Dyre needs to rescue him and the galaxy from his chivalrous side.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps the readers on the edge of their seat with lots of action, drama, humor and romance.  Eve Langlais paints a vivid picture of the story with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and bring the story and characters to life.  The well orchestrated action scenes are believable full of energy and humor as well as danger and the strong compelling characters are charming, easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

The attraction between Dyre and Betty radiates heat from every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the romance sends sparks flying throughout the galaxy. Betty fiery attitude and magnet for trouble adds lots of humorous situations on their own add in Dyre heroic quest and adventures and the reader can sit back and enjoy the ride. At first I wasn’t sure that I was going to like Dyre’s character as it seemed a little unbelievable that he could be so clueless, but I must say that he managed to charm and intrigue me until I have added him to my favorite hero list.

I found the world fascinating and entertaining and the characters fun and captivating. I was totally engrossed in this enjoyable alien romance from beginning to end and since I haven’t read the other ones yet, I’ll not only be doing that, but I will be looking for more in this series.  Did I mention that purple is my favorite color?
