Review: Scarlett Red: A Billionaire SEAL Story (In the Shadows #2) by P.T. Michelle

Mister Black swept in and out of my life like a tornado, leaving me twisted up and forever changed in his wake.

And now that my life is finally back on track, I need to move on, despite the many reminders of our time together.

But our pasts are only as far away as the shadows we hide behind, and sometimes those shadows grow darker, converging on the present in the most insidious way.

He is Black: a stealthy hunter and rainbow master.

I am Red: a truth seeker and desire keeper.

Together we are obsession. Passionate colors destined to be drawn together.

NOTE: SCARLETT RED is meant for readers 18+ due to mature content. This is part 2 of the IN THE SHADOWS serial and is a novel-length book at 273 print pages. You should read part 1, MISTER BLACK, before reading SCARLETT RED.

The blurb doesn’t even begin to cover what is in Scarlett Red. So much happens and I don’t want to give any of it away. Okay…maybe just a little. 😉

The cat’s out of the bag. In case you haven’t figured it out Mister Black is Sebastian. There I said it. Hope it didn’t ruin the story for ya. I know…not much of a spoiler. Talia is obviously Scarlett Red. If you have no clue what I’m talking about then put this book down and go back and read Mister Black. A lot of this book won’t make sense with it. If you DO know what I’m talking about then YAY for you and you’ll be happy to know all of your questions will be answered. Well, actually not all. To be exact, you’ll have even more questions by the time you finish and you’ll be happy for them. Because between the heat, the verbal exchange and all the intensity here you’ll be lucky if you can put this book down. Sebastian and Talia’s is hot. Their interactions in and out of the bedroom are very engaging and just when you think they are about to ride off into the sunset…HELLO! Cliffhanger. And if you saw it coming then you did a better job at predicting what was going to happen because frankly I was blindsided.
I’m not sure how many books will be in the In the Shadows series. Mister Black really does need to be read before reading Scarlett Red. Despite Mister Black being a shorter book, it has a lot of valuable information that leads into Scarlett Red so I don’t recommend reading it as a stand alone. However what I do recommend is reading the whole series but be prepared, there’s a cliffhanger and the next book isn’t out for a few more months. So either hold out on beginning the series or join the rest of us biting our nails waiting to find out what happens next.
