Review: Wulfe Untamed (Feral Warriors #8) by Pamela Palmer

They are called Feral Warriors—an elite band of immortals who can change shape at will. Sworn to rid the world of evil, consumed by sorcery and seduction, their wild natures are primed for release...

The most enigmatic and tortured of the Feral Warriors, Wulfe is haunted by the quiet beauty of a human woman who no longer remembers him. Once a captive of both the Mage and the Ferals, Natalie stole a piece of his heart before he took her memories and sent her safely back to her fiancé. But now the Mage are threatening her again, and Wulfe will risk anything to protect her.

Natalie Cash is stunned when she's saved by a wolf who shifts suddenly into a splendidly built, if badly scarred, man, a man with the kindest eyes. Swept into a world of intrigue and danger beyond her comprehension, she turns to the powerful Wulfe, finding a passion she'd only dreamed of. But when time runs out, they must trust one another and surrender to a wild, untamed love.

I probably should have gone back and did a Feral Warriors re-read before jumping into Wulfe Untamed. It has been close to four years since I read anything from this series. Admittedly I put off reading this installment because I knew it was the last one. I also started reading less paranormal for a while in a genre jump and here I am several years later reading one of my very favorite paranormal romance series.

Due to the time gap I do not remember exactly what book it is that Wulfe meets Natalie. She is involved in one of the many battels the Feral Warriors face with Inir in his attempts to free Satanan from the Daemon Blade. Natalie, her brother, and a few of her friends are captured to be used as a means to free Satanan. The Feral Warriors do what they do best (save the world from the evil that humans do not know exist) and are left with a couple of humans in their house that they must erase memories from. Natalie is one of those. During her time at Feral House Wulfe gets to know enough about her to know that he doesn’t really want her to leave.

And that’s how we start this book, Wulfe in his fur hanging out in Natalie’s backyard. Wulfe is scarred with a broken mating bond and knows that a woman is not in his future no matter how much he wants Natalie. That doesn’t keep him from wanting though. He never imagined that Natalie would want him just as much once the fur is gone and she sees the man beneath it. Natalie is just a smitten with Wulfe. She knows that the chaos that brought her back into Feral House should scare her away. It’s Wulfe’s constant presence that keeps her grounded in the midst of the worst times of the Feral’s lives. Little does she know it’s her being there in every way that will keep Wulfe grounded when the Feral’s need him the most.

Pamela ends this book at a place where readers get all the closure they need yet she could easily bring this world back with some new Feral’s.
