When Jack Dalton learns the location Lord Rockley, the man who killed his sister, Jack makes a daring escape from prison with one thing in mind—revenge. Unfortunately, Jack is captured by a group called Nemesis Unlimited, an organization that seeks revenge for people hurt by members of the wealthy class. Upset to be in a new kind of prison, Jack decides to make the best of his situation and work with this group. Jack, who exudes danger, finds himself attracted to one of the team members, Eva Warrick. Jack’s thinks of himself as a thug, hired muscle only. Eva is a perceptive lady, sees through Jack’s gruff exterior, and makes Jack realize that he is also a smart man, which makes her an endearing character. With Eva’s encouragement, Jack begins to see that he can play an important part in catching Rockley—a wonderful sight to see. As Eva and Jack play a cat-and-mouse game to catch Rockley, the sexual tension sizzles between them, and their first kisses are sweet and spicy. Archer does an exceptional job of balancing multiple story lines and suspenseful scenes, keeping the reader fully engaged in this story.

With well-drawn characters and a complex plot, Sweet Revenge sweeps the reader to another time and place where the bad guys get what’s coming to them.
