Review- Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

He told me to 'settle, girl.'
He asked if 'something was wrong with me?'
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.

He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.

Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.

I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?

I’m am SOOOOOOO late to the game! I mean, I’ve been a Tijan fan for years, but I’ve also been a reviewer and rarely get the chance to read books like I’ve been dying to read FOREVER! Well guess what? I finally had the time and I’M SO HAPPY!!!! I’m such a sucker for New and Young Adult books. I think it’s probably because I like to live vicariously through the young minds and hearts. But when you couple that with an amazing storyteller, I’m always addicted. And this is no exception.

Summer’s got it bad for her stepbrother. I mean, it appears that every girl has it bad for him, so it’s not really a surprise that she should too, right? It’s not like she grew up with him. They were literally thrown together as a family during her Junior year in high school and by then, the crush was already formed. And after a crazy graduation night, she’s somehow convinced herself that she could be the one to turn him around from his womanizing ways. That is, until she catches him DURING his womanizing ways. It’s also the same moment she meets a fraternity brother that finally has her looking at someone other than her stepbrother. But will her feelings for the stepbrother ever go away, especially when the stepbrother finally notices Summer?

Caden is the fraternity brother. He’s also hot and doesn’t exactly give a rats *ss what people think about him. That’s probably why the first time he sees Summer, he doesn’t leave the best first impression. That’s ok though, because it appears that he gets more than one chance to make an impression and boy oh boy, does he. So now he’s super hot, super caring and ridiculously cool. But he’s got some issues of his own. And the stepbrother thing isn’t helping.

THIS!!! This was so well written. I will admit that when I first read the blurb, I was a little concerned. I’m not really a fan of stepbrother/stepsister romances. But this is NOTHING like that. I am absolutely in love with Summer. She’s super cute and her humor is right up my alley. Her ability to break the ice, yet still keep on topic is awesome and even had me laughing out loud a few times. The anticipation that builds between Summer and Caden is perfect between a Freshmen and Junior in college. I found that Caden was mature for his age, but when you find out what he’s been through, it all clicks and makes perfect sense.

This is a perfect standalone!!!!!
