Book 2 in the Delectable Vines series picks up with some background information for Xeno, the newly added member to the now six all male household. After the boys had wooed and seduced Xeno, finding he was the missing piece of their puzzle, this book seeks to start us off with some more background information into the Fae connection of the males who are the primary story.
Xeno is not all human, nor is his sister or mother or fathers. Yes, fathers: his mother is also in a non-traditional relationship. But, things go much deeper. After a not-so-pleasant response from his sister and best friend Renaissance to his new living and relationship arrangement, Xeno is emotionally shaken and heads with Niko to his parent’s home. Niko is seeking to ameliorate any issues, and let Xeno recharge.
Yet, someone else has found Xeno as well, his father, king of the rival Fae clan, who is eeking to bring Xeno to his side, and find the treasure so carefully guarded by the 5 men he has moved in with.
This installment is far more detailed and informative as to the Fae legend and how all of the characters will play a role. A showdown is coming, after they share information with both Xeno and his sister, and we have to wait for the next installment to see just what will happen. I’m glad that I had hopes for the series, as this is much better than the first introduction, with characters starting to develop and questions being answered.
