Review: Archangel by Misa Buckley

Small time crook Gabriel Kemp is only trying to make a living when a hit-and-run leaves him for dead. Waking up in hospital to an angel at his bedside gives him a second chance, but one that comes with a condition.

Fleeing San Francisco doesn’t mean he can evade the deal either – he still manages to meet Abigail Harris, the woman he’s promised to protect. He might not believe in the psychic visions she claims to have, but he knows even the chance of her identifying the serial killer terrorizing downtown L.A. puts her in danger.

The only way to keep Abby safe is to find and stop the killer. If that means taking on the devil determined to turn the City of Angels into the City of Hell on Earth, then so be it.

This paranormal romance is an intriguing action packed read.

When a hit and run leaves him for dead, small time crook Gabriel Kemp wakes up in the hospital to an angel who gives him a second chance, one that comes with conditions.  Abigail Harris has visions of events that have put her in danger from the serial killer terrorizing L.A.  Gabe didn’t count on falling for Abby but he’ll do what it takes to keep her safe even it means taking on the devil determined to turn the City of Angels into the city of Hell on Earth.

This fast paced plot keeps the reader on their toes with suspense, action and romance.  The author describes the events with intense imagery and details that make the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The characters are intriguing and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

The attraction between Abby and Gabe heats up the pages and the sex scenes are hot and steamy with lots of sizzling passion.  Gabe is the bad boy that everyone wants who is trying to do the right thing and Abby captures the reader’s heart with what she has to go through.

The author has created a great tale of good vs. evil with a few surprises that the reader doesn’t see coming. While overall I found this to be an enjoyable read, I was a little disappointed because it seemed that the whole thing was a little too easy, but that could be because it is a short and quick book. Archangel
