Review: Better with You (Outback Skies #4) by Lexxie Couper

"There's nothing hotter than a killer love story."

"Outback Skies," Book 4

Charlie Baynard is an average Outback cop. Protecting the people in his small town and flying through the Outback skies in his police chopper suits him just fine. But there s a side to him that no one knows about. Like the fact he used to be one of the Australian government s best assets, and his name isn t really Charlie.

A dangerous past conditioned Charlie to be afraid of nothing and no one. Except for the woman who knows "exactly" who he really is. His wife. And if the reports that she s headed for Wallaby Ridge are true, he s got two choices arrest her or kill her. Before she kills him.

Dani De Vries never questioned orders and was paid to do things that put her on a lot of most-wanted lists. Then Charlie entered her life and things shifted. Now Dani is on the run, hunted by dangerous people. But not as dangerous as the man she never meant to fall in love with her husband.

If only she can find him in time. And convince him not to put a bullet between her eyes.

"Warning: The hero and heroine in this romance are dangerous. And violent. And don t pull any punches, in or out of bed. And they spend a lot of time in bed having a lot of sex. A "lot" of sex.""

300 Review

Lexxie Couper has outdid herself in this fourth installment of her Outback Skies Series! All of the books have been good in their own right and I have enjoyed every single one. Better With You took it to another level! The suspense and intrigue were intense! There was an exciting mixture of outmaneuvering, sexual tension, passion, and some violence to boot!

Dani and Charlie have a history together. We don’t really know in what capacity, but you know it wasn’t all roses! When Dani shows up in the Outback, Charlie is sure its not good. Unfortunately he knew his past would eventually catch up with him. What is Dani doing here? He hoped to have left his former life behind, but with Dani showing up, he must face the music once and for all.

Dani, after an exhaustive effort, finally tracks down Charlie in the Outback and sets out to see him. She’s in trouble and she needs help, but should she draw attention to someone who clearly doesn’t want to be found? She’s left with no other route, so she sets out to get Charlie to believe her and trust her before it’s too late.

I’ve liked Charlie from the previous books and I loved his story here! It is clear his feelings towards Dani have not changed since he last saw her, but there is a lot of explaining to do. We don’t know what her intentions are and why she really is here. The Outback is where Charlie wants to be. He loves his quiet existence and his friends and there is nothing that will take that away from him, including Dani.

Lexxie Couper has crafted a real keeper here! I enjoyed finding out about Charlie, Dani, and their past. Be prepared to carve out some time as I read this in one sitting! I couldn’t put it down! I needed to find out what would happen next!! Lexxie did a good job with Dani and making her intentions feel genuine. It was well written and I felt what the author was trying to convey! Such an intriguing and oh so sexy story you just can’t help enjoying! Snap this one up today and I think you will be happy you did!
