Title: Blitzing Emily
Emily Hamilton doesn't trust men. She's much more comfortable playing the romantic lead in front of a packed house onstage than in her own life. So when NFL star and alluring ladies' man Brandon McKenna acts as her personal white knight, she has no illusions that he'll stick around. However, a misunderstanding with the press throws them together in a fake engagement that yields unexpected (and breathtaking) benefits.
Every time Brandon calls her "Sugar," Emily almost believes he's playing for keeps—not just to score. Can she let down her defenses and get her own happily ever after?

The first book in the Love and Football series is an exciting and entertaining contemporary romance.
Not trusting men, Emily Hamilton has no illusions that NFL star and alluring ladies’ man, Brent McKenna will stick around after all she’s more comfortable performing the romantic lead onstage in front of a packed house than in her own life. When a misunderstanding has the press announcing their engagement, there are some unexpected benefits, can Emily let down her guard and get her own happily ever after.
This steady paced plot keeps the reader engaged with drama, romance and lots of humorous and snarky dialogue. The author brings the story to life with vivid images and charming characters that grab the reader’s attention. The intense details and emotional drama is conveyed with such intensity that the reader can easily relate to each character as well as understand their motivations.
The attraction between Emily and Brent is a sweet and fun journey that keeps the reader’s on their toes from beginning to end. The romance progresses at a believable pace despite the dramatic beginning and the sex scenes are well written as well with sizzling passion.
The author does a fantastic job of creating a relationship between two characters that are total opposites in personality as well as their life choices. The carefree jock that knows nothing of opera and the serious opera diva that knows nothing of football. They come together to make a perfect relationship that has the reader smiling and laughing. Their relationship has a few bumps and bruises that bring tears to the eyes, but the reader can’t help but fall in love with this couple. The supporting characters are all strong and compelling as well and add lots of depth to the story and ensure the reader wants to know more. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and looking for more from this author.
