A rogue high-born has solicited Serra’s help as a powerful psychic to find his daughter and Fane insists on coming along but he will have to risk his body, his soul and his heart to keep her safe when she stumbles on a conspiracy involving secret sects in this thrilling paranormal romance.

The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring the story to life with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Spine tingling danger keeps the characters on their toes as they try to stay alive while dodging assassins and a conspiracy that threatens the existence of everyone. The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the excitement as the fascinating world draws them further into the story and ensures that they can’t put the book down until they have read every last detail.

The strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning with some relationship drama and the sparks continue to fly throughout the story from their very passionate attraction. Fane tried to stay away from Serra and he may have done to good a job of pushing her away because Serra’s not so sure she can trust him with her heart, with her life that’s easy…he is a Sentinel after all. Meanwhile, the can enjoy some carnal delights while trying to save a little girl and deal with the father who just happens to be an infuriating assassin.

I was completely engrossed in this complex, fast paced and smooth flowing plot from the very beginning. Along with the intriguing characters of this fascinating world, the author ensures that the reader never gets bored with surprising twists and interesting elements and I just can’t get enough of it, so I will be impatiently waiting for the next one.
