Review: Boots and the Heartbreaker (Ugly Stick Saloon #11) by Myla Jackson

In cahoots to break up a romance…they wind up rekindling their own.

Ugly Stick Saloon, Book 11

Colin McFarlan’s back is against the wall. Two brothers have caved to their mother’s threat to sell the ranch if they don’t get married and give her grandkids—now it’s his turn. Too bad the only woman he’s ever loved is the one who came between him and his brother Brody.

When Fancy returns to Temptation, he’s determined to steer clear of the gorgeous real estate agent, who looks good whether dressed up in a pencil skirt or dressed down in cowboy boots.

Fancy Wilson made mistakes. Getting engaged to Brody was the first. Weeping in Colin’s arms—and falling into his bed—on the night she and Brody broke up was the second. She’s not adding to her sins by falling for Colin all over again. She’s had enough heartache.

Yet when Colin asks her to help break up a romance between his mother and the notorious town heartbreaker, she can’t resist. But soon they’re scrambling to undo the damage they’ve done…before it destroys their last chance for happiness.

Warning: Breaking up is hard to do, but reunion sex can be oh, so fine!

Colin McFarlan’s time is ticking. His mother has threatened to sell their beloved ranch if he and his brothers don’t settle down and give her some well-deserved grand kids. Both Brody and Angus found love and Colin is left. Unfortunately for him, the only woman he’s ever wanted, was the one that came between he and his brother Brody, eight years ago. But after Brody gives him his blessing, he decides he needs to make Fancy his once and for all.

Fancy turns up in Temptation after many years away. Determined to rid Colin from her mind she goes out of her way to stay clear of Colin and his family. But she’s weak where Colin is concerned. When Colin asks for her help in breaking up his mom’s romance, she accepts. By helping him, she thinks this could pave the way for her to move on. But Colin has ulterior motives. He wants Fancy back and he will do what he needs to to make her see they are good together. The chemistry is off the charts with these two and there’s no way they can fight it. Their antics left me giggling in a few spots!

I have really enjoyed the Ugly Stick Saloon clan and their stories! Seems there is always something going on! Character history weaves its way through the stories and I loved how the characters jump between the books. I highly recommend Boots and the Heartbreaker, as well as the entire Ugly Stick Saloon series. Belly up to the bar and come see what you’ve been missing!
