Falling isn’t so bad, it’s the landing that hurts.
Following an auto accident, Rex Clark lays near death in the rocky wilderness of the Trinity Alps. Just when it appears that things can’t get worse, she shows up. Anahita…the succubus. She’s been his frequent companion, and the bane of Rion’s existence, for well over a century. But it seems that this time she’s come to help.
From the frozen villages of the Inuit to the cities of America, Dr. Noemi Gastineau has seen it all. When a fallen angel shows up at the reservation clinic with an injured Sidhe, Noemi takes everything in stride. Yet within hours, she’s swept into an enchanted world she never imagined existed.
So why are the men so temptingly familiar? And why is she suddenly so afraid?
A fallen angel, a Sidhe, a human and a succubus. Never mind the demons, these four are about to catch fire! The question is…who will survive the burn?

Curiouser and curiouser! This Bad Angel series is starting to peek my interest. I’m not exactly sure the meaning behind the title Burn and its correlation to this particular story, but things are starting to heat up… And not just in the bedroom!
So in the previous book, our two main players Rex and Rion have a encounter with a succubus which I pretty much dismissed as just another sex scene. Well, I was wrong! Rex is in a car accident a fair distance from home and who comes to his rescue? Yup, the succubus, Anahita. Rion has never been thrilled that Anahita is in their lives but he can’t help but be grateful for her help.
Once Rion gets to Rex, he realizes something is very wrong, he wasn’t healing, and would need medical help. So Rion takes Rex to a local clinic where they meet Dr Noemi Gastineau who helps them in more ways than just healing.
I pretty much started piecing things together once they meet the good doctor although there were a few revelations surrounding Noemi I didn’t see coming. I’m finding quite a few things in this series that I just dismiss as things thrown in to keep the story flowing are more important than they initially appear. Just little puzzle pieces that look innocent but really aren’t.
So as in the first book, Fallen, Burn ends on a cliffhanger. And it was quite a humdinger! I found myself thinking ‘What? Wait?! No way!’ for a good while after I finished. Oh my interest is very peeked! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
