Review: Call of the Siren (Demons of Infernum #4) by Rosalie Lario

The half-siren half-demon bounty hunter Dagan Meyers swore he'd never settle down. His older brothers might’ve adjusted well to family life but tying himself to one woman is so not Dagan’s bag. Until he meets the gorgeous angel Lina, his brother Ronin’s long-lost adopted sister, and he can’t think of being with anybody but her. Too bad Ronin’s well aware of Dagan’s party-boy lifestyle and won’t let him anywhere near his angelic baby sister.

Lina is still getting over the abandonment issues that began when she was orphaned as a child and has devoted her life to taking down evil Otherworlders. The last thing she wants is to develop feelings for man she knows will eventually leave her, too. But as the battle against a growing darkness continues—a powerful fae who’s harnessed untold power—Dagan and Lina find that love may be their greatest weapon against the very thing that threatens to destroy them all.

Take one half demon , a mix in a angel, stir in one powerful fae and you have one heck of a story. Call of the Siren is on fantastic story is fast paced, filled with great characters, romance all heading to one heck of an epic battle.
Dagan is one sexy beast. He’s not known for his ability to commit. Lina is a fairly tough angel. Both of them have family issues and are a bit messed up in the head because of it. As both their stories unfold Dagan’s daddy ‘issues’ seem fairly bad I definitely feel Lina’s trumps his. Watching them both work things out separately then eventually together is very touching. I enjoyed how all the characters work well with each other and despite not having read the previous titles, I had a sense of knowing them well. That is a sign of a good author…being able to jump into a series anywhere and feel you can relate to all the characters. When you have a good side there inevitably is a bad group of folks. Are what they expected? Not really and some of they had me cheering their final conclusions in the end. This paranormal fantic is more than happy with the epic battle and even happier with the HEA that Dagan and Lina get.

I’m jumping into this series on the last book. I wish I started it from the beginning because it ROCKS! Superb characters all the way around. You really can feel the connections they have with one another. All of Dagon siblings have had their own stories and yet author Rosalie Lario has done an outstanding job presenting them in such a way I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. However, I have enjoyed Call of the Siren so much I was to go back and start the series from the beginning. This is definitely a series worth reading.
