By the Tail, Book One

Sofia is in desperate need of a vacation and she’s determined not to let her aversion to flying get in the way of that. Luckily, her trepidation is quickly forgotten when in-flight entertainment takes the form of the sinfully gorgeous Nathan.
Nathan offers Sofia an electric induction into the mile high club and he wants more. He wants to meet her again once they land, but he has a dangerous secret—he’s a Werecat shifter and can’t risk an ongoing fling with a straight-up human.
However, Sofia discovers she’s a “Late Bloomer”. Her own Cat begins to awaken at Nathan’s touch. In the mountain wilds, she asks Nathan to teach her to master her newfound abilities. But to do so he must violate the rules of the Pride, putting them both at risk.

The first book in the new paranormal erotic series By the Tail is an intriguing and entertaining read.

In desperate need of a vacation Sofia is determined not to let her aversion to flying to get in her way. Luckily she has a diversion in the form of the sinfully gorgeous man sitting next to her.  Being a werecat shifter, Nathan can’t risk an ongoing fling with a straight up human.  But when Sofia is discovered to be a late bloomer, she asks Nathan to guide her, only Nathan has break pride rules to do so… putting them both at risk.

This smooth flowing plot grabs the reader’s attention at the very beginning and keeps throughout this short fast read.  The author paints this world vivid images and intense passion that captures the imagination and brings the reader right into the story.  The compelling characters are strong and intriguing and are easily related to.  The chemistry between Sofia and Nathan is scorches the reader with every page and the red hot frequent sex scenes leave burn marks on the pages and there is even talk of group sex.

The author has created a fascinating shifter world with some unique and interesting shapeshifter elements that makes this an entertaining and erotic read. I guess I should note that this is listed as a multicultural / interracial paranormal romance.  The only thing I would have liked to be different, I wish it had been a little longer and spent a little more time on the Pride culture that the author created, but I am sure I will learn more in the next books of the series.
