Review – Elliott Redeemed (Preload #2) by Scarlett Cole

Elliot "Pyro" Dawson burns up the lead guitar like a legend. But the nickname Pyro isn't just a clever play on words. It's much darker. A past he's fought like hell to overcome.

Grocery store cashier Kendalee Walker is at her wits end and homeless. She's watched her fourteen-year-old son, Daniel, go so far off the rails, he can no longer see the tracks.

When the two are brought together, attraction flares, but can Elliott find the family he never had with the sexy woman and her son, or will he fall back on dark habits?

Although you don’t necessarily have to read the first installment to keep up with this, I still strongly suggest it. Not just because it’s an amazing story, but you get to understand the bands bond which is extremely important (at least in my eyes).

I’m falling in love. Each and every one of these Preload men have reached in to my heart, plucking their own specific string. To think that this is only the second story from the band makes me so happy. Because I’m already counting the days until I can get my hands on the next one…

Elliott is the guitarist. The hot as sin, body of a God, tattooed sleeve hunk that every woman would drool over. But underneath the armor is a very damaged man. A man who still struggles with his own personal demons. Which is why going to a children’s hospital (part of the bands charity work) isn’t the best idea. Throw in the fact that he’s stepping in to the burn unit and it’s an even bigger mistake. That is until he meets Daniel and his gorgeous mom, Kendalee. Wait, mom? Yep. But that apparently doesn’t matter to Elliott, because there’s something about her that helps him. And he’s willing to do just about anything to keep her.

Kendalee is having THE worst year, and even worse month. A cheating husband, a son recovering from burns he got from starting a fire that burned down the house (the reason is heartbreaking) and being homeless would be enough to make any person completely break down. But she seems to be holding it together like a champ. And now? Now there’s this really hot musician that her son worships hitting on her. Yep, she’s stepped in to the land of “what the heck-ville”. But guess what? She’s finding herself again. She’s allowing someone else to take care of her for a change and it feels good. But will it last?

There is so much more to this story than a love story. The healing process that each character goes through is beautiful to watch. The love that I felt through this book really hit home on so many levels. This story is amazing. The guys in the band are amazing. The way the story was told, is amazing. Do you see where I’m going with this? Yep. Amazing!!!! I can’t wait for the next one…..please be Nik….PLEASE!!!!
