Kat MacGregor has forty-eight hours to make good on the debt her ex-boyfriend owes a crime boss, unfortunately she has no way of coming up with that kind of money, so with time running out she’s forced to accept help from the only man who’s made her feel fire rather than fear.  Former MMA fighter Aiden “Irish” O’Brien heads to Louisiana to offer himself up as collateral to keep a friend’s sister safe. With more that money on the line will Irish be able to step in the ring again and not only become the man he once was but the man he needs to be for woman he loves?

This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of action, suspense, drama and romance.  The author brings the story to life with well written words and details that grab the reader’s attention and make them feel as if they are part of the story. The characters are strong, compelling and easily related to and the reader is totally caught up in their story from the very beginning.

The attraction between Irish and Kat radiates heat from every page and the frequent sex scenes hot and steamy but sweet as well.  The relationship has a lot of obstacles to overcome including Kat’s traumatic past and the reader can’t help but get emotionally involved in the story as it plays out.  And as the bad guys try their best to bring further tragedy and heartbreak to this young woman, the reader finds themselves on the edge of their seat and cheering for Irish to fix the problem and rescue the girl.

I haven’t read the previous books in the series, but I really enjoyed this one and found that the author kept the subject of the MMA fighting in line with the story as it played out. Another words, she didn’t spend too much time explaining the technical side to the fight scene and taking away from the real story of our hero and heroine. Which to me is a good thing, because I find reading about sexy fighters is a great, but I don’t really want to know all the dirty details.Fighting For Irish
