Review: Under Fire (Love Under Fire #2) by Denise A. Agnew

The stakes are high and there’s only one man she’ll trust when danger rips her world apart.

Kathleen truly understands the saying “always the bridesmaid, never the bride”. Was she nuts the day she agreed to be a bridesmaid for the eighth time? Probably. Especially when helping with this wedding means she’ll be in close proximity to rugged Major Jake Frasier—the man she fell in love with when they were in high school.

Being out of control is the last thing Kathleen wants, and Jake tempts her to be the wild woman she used to be. He’s too hot, too disturbing, too stirring for her blood. But when gunfire strikes close, the fight for survival will forge a bond deeper than they ever imagined.

Inside Scoop: The couples in the Love Under Fire series find love through the crucible of a mall shooting event.

The second novella in the Love Under Fire series is an erotic romance with lots of passion.

“Always a bridesmaid, never the bride,” Kathleen truly understands the saying. But there is a major difference this time she will be in close proximity to rugged Major Jake Frasier, the man she fell in love with in high school.  Jakes is too hot, too disturbing and tempts her wild side.  But when gunfire strikes close, the fight for survival will forge a bond deeper than they ever imagined.

This fast paced plot comes to life with a taste of danger, passion and emotional turmoil. The author uses vivid imagery and intense details to make the reader part of the story and the compelling characters grab hold and don’t let go until the very end.  The attraction between Kathleen and Jake is super hot with scorching hot sex scenes. The romance is fraught with emotional turmoil that adds depth to the story and engages the reader’s emotions as they empathize with the characters.

A romantic wedding makes a great setting for the beginning romance and sizzling passion that leads to happily ever after. The novellas in this series are great so far for quick “pick me up” reads.Under Fire
