Review: Hero Revealed (Heroes of Saturn, #1) by Anna Alexander

As a female sheriff in a small town, Brett Briggs faces enough obstacles turning complacent good ol’ boys into a top-notch police force without the added insult of a vigilante apprehending her criminals. Her prime suspect? Kristos Kilsgaard, the sexy river guide who has been open in his desire to move her away from her badge and into his bed.
In his former position as royal guard, Kristos once failed a woman he cared for and as punishment was banned from his home on one of Saturn’s moons. He vows not to make the same mistake with Brett and uses his superpowers to protect her, no matter the foe. Or the cost.
But Brett didn’t become sheriff by letting a man take care of her, and although the hot-as-hell Kristos is persuasive, she’s not going to start now—even after burning it up between the sheets with him. When her town is threatened, they cry out for a hero and she sets out to prove to everyone, Kristos included, that she’s the woman for the job.

Is a book still considered a paranormal if some of the characters are from a different planet? This story doesn’t read like a Sci-Fi story but neither does it feel like a PN either. Not quite sure how to classify it but I do know I liked it. Hero Revealed was loads of fun to read. The quick witty comments, intrigue, and hot sex kept me hooked until the very end. There were some twists in the story that, while I anticipated some of them, I found how they were presented was still entertaining for me to get lost in.

Kristos may be a tough, bold, sexy guard but Brett is very much the one in control and that totally rocks! Sometimes the heroine stars as tough but once they get romantically involved they go to mush. Not this sheriff. I like how she stands her ground and is tough thorough the entire book. And her sneaky ways of getting the upper hand on Kristos and his Neanderthal ways…sounds like something I would do. Now for the token mention of the sex. Yup…it’s hot! Really the two MC are pretty good together. I hope they are in the next series as well because frankly, I like see the female character having the upper hand.

I enjoyed Hero Revealed so much I have made plans to read the entire series. Consider me hooked on Heroes of Saturn series . I cannot wait for the next book!
