Review: Hide (Spotless #1) by Bailey Bradford

When you think you’ll never fit it, never be whole, love can show you a truth you’ve never seen.

Adal has been abused all of his life. The only person who cared for him was his brother, Steven. Without him, Adal would have been killed long ago. After he and Steven are sent on a mission for their twisted father, they learn they’ve been pawns in an evil plot all along. And that their father has been slowly killing them, one pill at a time.

Steven leaves Adal to seek revenge, and secure safety for them in the world. Adal is astounded to find out he has a mate. A halfbreed like him shouldn’t have anyone to love, should he?

Dorso Rodriguez doesn’t know what hit him, literally or figuratively. A fun-loving guy, he wakes up with a knot on his head and a strange, sexy, scarred man who’s scared and defiant and intriguing.

Together they embark on a journey to defeat the demons from Adal’s past.

Reader Advisory: This book contains BDSM and references to past physical abuse.

The first book in the new shifter series by Bailey Bradford is a riveting and heart gripping m/m romance. Abused all of his life, Adal discovers that his father has been slowly killing him and his brother Steven, one pill at a time.  Dorso Rodriguez wakes up to discover a knot on his head and a sexy, defiant man who is scared and defiant.  Together they embark on a journey to defeat the demons from Adal’s past.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of drama, suspense, some action and hot steamy passion.  The author describes the story with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and drama and suspense to draw the reader deeper into the story.  The characters are strong, compelling, easily understood and grab the readers’s attention from the very beginning.

The mating between Adal and Dorso explodes with red hot passion and the frequent sex scenes burns up the pages smoking hot intensity.  The reader can’t help but get caught up in Adal’s story as they will just want to hug him tight and make everthing better and they can’t help but feel that Dorso is the lucky one to get to do just that.  The story inspires a few tears, smiles and some laughter as well as some nasty evil thoughts for Adal and Steven’s father, but of course it also gives the reader that happy feel good fealing when they know a HEA may just be around the corner for Adal.

There are several events going on at once that keeps the reader’s hopping and of course invites the reader back to read the next story in the series.  This one definitely captures the heart and I can’t wait to read Steven’s story and find out what happens on his journey to confront their father.
