Review: Hunt Her (Vamp Hunters #1) by Elle Q. Sabine

Her life on hold for a decade, Meghan’s ready to take it back and move forward. Valor is ready too. The Vampire Master won’t let her disappear, not ever again.

Meghan doesn’t understand the dreamwalker who comes to her at night. After years of sleeping medication to subdue nightmares, she is unprepared when the handsome stranger who stood guard over her childhood returns to her dreams. Now that she’s grown, he’s intent on possession and seduction. When he shows up in her life, real and not a dream, she’s horrified…and enthralled.

But life isn’t waiting around for Meghan to play out the traditional script of meeting, falling in love and living happily ever after. Desperate to reclaim some part of her childhood, Meghan leaves behind the man who wants her in search of her long-lost brother. But Valor is not a man who is willing to be left behind, not again. The years he spent unable to find Meghan—not knowing if she was happy, healthy or even safe—were difficult enough.

He’ll find Meghan and bring her into a world she doesn’t even imagine exists, and he’ll find a way to keep her at his side—forever. Because he’s not just some man Meghan met in a library. Valor isn’t a man at all.

Meghan has been on her own for over 10 years. She has finally decided to take control over her life. First step, get off the meds! Her first night back after ditching the sleeping pills, she dreams of her guardian that has watched over her all of her life. She feels safe and protected, which is something she hasn’t felt in a long time. And surprise, he’s real.

Damn, its over?! That is all that comes to mind after reading this book. The blurb pulled me in and about 10% in, I was hooked. This is my first Elle Q. Sabine book and it will most definitely not be my last. And honestly, I have not read a good vampire romance in a loooong time until reading Hunt Her!

I’ll be honest and say that I was utterly confused about what was going on in the book and in Meghan’s head. The story started out pretty much into Meg’s story and then jumped to Valor’s point of view. Once it started explaining some of the events that occurred, it flowed nicely. Valor was completely transfixed on Meghan and after spending almost the last 3 decades for it makes sense. Meghan is an interesting character as she learned to grow in her new life and how she dealt with all the horrors that happened in her life.

One thing that confused me was how well she dealt with everything that was Valor and his world. Or in other words, dimensions. Also how she was so easily able to adapt into her role at Valor’s side and totally understanding in what was going on in such a short time. I would have been the lady at the end of the book! I was so happy to be given the opportunity to read a new paranormal romance, let alone a vampire one, and I am excited to read about the rest of Valor’s brothers as well as Will.
