Review: Immortal Vow (Heart of a Vampire #3) by: Sedonia Guillone

Christian St. Cyr, a vampire trapped in the nether world between soulless existence and redemption, has sworn not to kill out of anger. He feeds only from mercy, which he does when he finds the beautiful man shot and bleeding to death near his home. However, the stranger revives and St. Cyr cannot resist making love to him. Little does he know that the lover who just claimed his heart for eternity is an immortal empath sworn to kill him.

This Christmas is not looking too good for Chris or Jesse. Chris is lonely and realizes he will be spending yet another holiday season alone. Jesse has just been informed that he has until New Year’s to bring the ruthless vampire that has his sister the head of his swore enemy, none other than Christian St Cyr. Jesse had thought he left his vampire slaying days long behind him, but he will do anything to see that his sister is returned safely to him.

I’m actually okay with the insta-love that Chris and Jesse experience. Between the blood bond and empathic abilities it really worked for these men and the fast pace of this sexy little Christmas novella. I also loved the little awe moment readers are given when something happens to Chris that Darelle told him would only be possible for one other person.

Immortal Vow works as a stand-alone. The characters from the previous Heart of a vampire books are mentioned, but not to any degree that any reader would be lost with this book. The sexy vampire trio from Valmont’s Trinity even has a small role in this one.
