Review: Light My Fire (Dragon Kin #7) by G.A. Aiken

The trouble with humans is that they're far too sensitive. Forget you put a woman in the local jail for a few months--and she takes it so personally! And yet she is the one trying to assassinate the queen. And now I'm trapped with Elina Shestakova of the Black Bear Riders of the Midnight…gods! That endless name!

But what am I to do? I am Celyn the Charming with direct orders from my queen to protect this unforgiving female.

Even more shocking, this unforgiving female is completely unimpressed by me. How is that even possible? But I know what I want and, for the moment, I want her. And I'm sure that she, like all females, will learn to adore me. How could she not when I am just so damn charming?

Celyn the Charming has been ordered to protect Elina, the unforgiving female that tried to assassinate his Queen but the female is completely unimpressed with him and shockingly he wants her…for the moment anyway in this riveting dragon romance.

These strong, charming and fascinating characters hold the reader captive as the steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot ensures that readers have to read every last word. Celyn and Elina’s attraction to each other has sparks exploding from every page and the reader can’t help but get completely caught up in their completely off the charts unorthodox relationship as they work through some issues that include some cultural differences and misunderstandings that leave the sexy Celyn feeling a little confused and the sex scenes are hot enough to scorch the dragon’s scales.

There is never a dull moment as spine tingling tension builds throughout the story as unseen danger steadily encroaches on the dragons and their mates and there is also some humorous and fun clashes among the family as they constantly bicker and fight with some pretty snarky commentary and physical combat

Well written scenes and details capture the imagination and have the reader feeling as if they are part of the story as the evil that is approaching sends chills down the spine, passion and humor lighten the heart and suspense and excitement keeps the reader on their edge of their seat. The author has created a wonderful and fascinating world with some intriguing characters that I can’t help but love even as I want to join in and knock heads at the same time. I always have so much fun reading these stories even when there is serious danger and this one is no different…I can’t wait to read the next one.
