Title: Los Angeles
This is book six in the Fallen series, see the full series listing here
Nevan Largent has always known angels exist. He just never expected to fall in love with one.
Nevan Largent moves to Los Angeles to get away from the fallen angels he dealt with in Chicago. With his ability to see ghosts and the fact that his cousin has been murdered, Nevan’s life is complicated. Then a blind fallen angel joins the investigation, and he’s sure he’s cursed.
Cassandra Harmen has been blind for centuries, which has given her time to hone her other senses and skills. When she’s asked to consult on a murder case, she meets Nevan Largent. In all her years, she never thought she’d meet a man who teaches her that while she might not be able to see images, she can still see into people’s souls.
Now they have to struggle with love, druid priests and one annoying fallen angel, but their love is strong enough to survive anything…except maybe the fallen angel.
Reader Advisory: This book contains some scenes of torture.

Los Angeles, this sixth book in the Fallen series by Tiffany Aaron, follows Detective Nevan Largent and Cassandra Harmen. Nevan moves to Los Angeles from Chicago to get away from spirits and angels. Little does he know you can run but you can’t hide. While investigating his cousin’s murder, Nevan meets Cassandra, a fallen angel. She’s not just any angel, she blind and has been for centuries. Their attraction is instant but to be together they will get solve a murder, get past druid priests and deal with one annoying fallen angel.
Nevan and Cassandra are a interesting pair. Nevan leaves Chicago and comes Los Angeles to get a fresh start away from angels. How ironic is it that he falls in love with one. Now Cassandra is probably one of my favorite Fallens in the series because of uniquess-her blindness. Angels should be able to heal themselves and yet she is blind. It definitely puts a different spin on angels. As a couple they are great together and their sexual heat is fairly yummy. There’s one secondary character that stands out the most to me. Good old Lucifer! His inneractions with Cassandra are very curious. I won’t go into detail so I don’t give anything away but I must say, it definitely sheds a new light on this particular angel.
I’ve read several books in the Fallen series and I must say, so far this is my least favorite so far. Not because the book sucked because it didn’t. But because in the other titles I have read at least one or two of the characters from the previous books but in an appearance. There was a very brief appearance from the MCs Chicago but it was so minuscule it’s almost not worth mentioning. Another thing that I was less than thrilled with was Nevan’s personality. He previously was crotchety and abrasive plus he could see spirits. Now, not so much. He seems too tame now and I sort of like how he was before.
Despite the differences, I still thoroughly enjoy the Fallen series and will continue to read it. There are a few more characters I’m still waiting to see if get their own story. Action, adventure, romance. This series and this book has it all. I recommend reading Los Angeles and I promise you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
