Title: Love on the Ice
Carson lost the love of his life four years ago. As a mortal, he'd given Laci his heart. But then he went and screwed it all up. Now she's back in Juneau-and he's a werewolf sentinel. The moment he sees Laci again, his mating urge takes hold and he knows he must have her. In every way possible. To win her back, Carson must prove he's worth more than a thrilling ride in bed. He's worth forever.
Laci decided her ex wasn't going to keep her from the city where she'd been born and raised. She's over him, after all. At least she thought so, until he touched her. She doesn't want to risk her heart, but can't resist her sexy ex.
As Carson and Laci grow closer, the shifter side of Carson's life is revealed before Laci is ready. And he has to hope their newfound relationship will be enough to help her accept the man he's become.

While this story can be read as a stand alone, all the characters are connected to the previous books. To get the most enjoyment out of the series they are best read in order.
Carson has only been a werewolf sentinel for a few years . Before that he was a regular mortal and a bit immature. When his ex girlfriend, Laci, moves back to town and he sees her in a bar, he is suddenly in the throes of the mating urge and knows that he has to win her back. However, Laci isn’t so easily swayed to give Carson another chance. When they broke up four years ago she had a hard time getting over him. How can she be sure that he has changed and won’t break her heart again?
Another unique and exciting addition to the werewolf sentinels series. I loved how Carson had to work hard to get his ex back when he finds out that she’s his mate. It was yet another take on the mating issue that we hadn’t seen before. I didn’t’ really like Carson from the previous books. He was a little too cocky for my tastes. But in this book we see a different, more mature side of him that was very nice. I was also pleased how Laci held out against Carson for so long. She wasn’t a push over and didn’t let him force her to make any decisions before she was ready.
We don’t get a lot of additional information on the dark wolf situation. A few scenes with Tanner, the leader of the dark wolves, but it doesn’t really share any new information. With just one more book in the series I know that things are about to come to a head so I expected a little more from them. I guess the last book will have a lot more dark wolf action.
