When Zane finds out Rowan Andrews has had some complimentary things to say about him, he arranges to meet her while he’s in Denver enjoying the games. Rowan Andrews competes at the Snow and Ice Games in the luge. She’s a fierce competitor and is hyper-focused on bringing home a medal. All that goes sideways when a little comment in a magazine reveals her crush on a boy band lead singer.
Zane Rivera sings for License to Game boy band. They are the hottest things around. When he reads Rowan’s comment, he makes arrangements to meet her. After the surprise meet and greet, a photo op of Zane kissing Rowan on the cheek gets major exposure on social media. Both their agents decide to cash in on the publicity by faking a romance. Let the games begin!!
This was a cute, quick and easy read! I loved how it flowed. Both Zane and Rowan were very down to earth, honest people. Rowan isn’t used to the spotlight that Zane was. She felt luge was pretty obscure, and I felt bad for her feeling overwhelmed with it all. They were attracted to each other from the start, and after a few dates, it was going to be hard to end this fake gig! I really enjoyed learning the idiosyncrasies of sliding too! I have watched luge before and thought they were nuts! I thought it was funny when Rowan thought the ski jumpers were nuts!!
Overall a highly recommended read and start to Tamsen Parker’s Snow and Ice Games series! I’m looking forward to seeing what other sports will be highlighted!
