Love the Sinner by Avril Ashton was a crime drama of good guys and bad guys and the lines that are blurred when the two intersect. Angelo Pagan was the leader of a crime organization, feared by many and hunted by law enforcement. Gabe Ashby, police officer, had the unfortunate chance to meet the crime boss and fall in love with him. Good thing the feelings were mutual. Happenstance placed the two men at the same crime scene where Angelo shot Gabe in order to save his life. From that moment the two men intertwined themselves in heated passion. I totally fell in love with each character. Ms. Ashton delivered angst and heart ache, love and passion as Gabe and Angelo traversed the line that created a tangled web of intrigue, mystery and love. At moments I felt my heart ache for each of them as they attempted to block the reality of their situation and continued to embrace. Love the Sinner radiated heat and yearning, a deep seated love that bonded Angelo and Gabe. Wine and roses were not necessarily in order, but passionate sex with an HEA was. Ms. Ashton supplied everything I look for in a book; a spell binding crime drama, hot men, steamy sex. Brooklyn Sinners series should not be missed. Z.A. Maxfield
