Review: Mayhem ‘n’ Mistletoe by Alexis Fleming

WANTED FOR TOO MUCH CHEER: Misty Toll. Dealer of mistletoe, aka Happy Juice. Be extremely careful. Too hot to handle.

When Christmas is declared illegal, Misty Toll finds herself dealing mistletoe juice to fund Santa’s revolution to bring back Christmas. But Santa’s addicted to his own product, Rudolph’s red nose is from too much vodka, and there’s a bunch of rabid revolutionary elves on the run.

Then there’s the delicious Scrooge, Zane Mason, the new man hired to work on the deer farm. The same farm where she’s hiding Santa’s reindeers and her secret stash of mistletoe.

What’s a girl to do but go with the holiday cheer?

What a hoot! This holiday story had me cracking up! Misty Toll works Santa’s farm after Christmas is declared illegal and the toy shop disbanded. Planning a revolt against the government, the elves along with Misty distill mistletoe juice to fund the operation. Business has been great! People missing the holiday love how the Happy Juice makes them feel. If they could just keep Santa and Rudolph out of the product and cutting into their profits!

When the government gets wind of Misty’s illegal manufacturing operation, they send agent Zane Mason to investigate. Once on the farm under the guise of taking care of the stables, Zane is certain Misty and the elves are guilty. He just needs to find concrete evidence. What he wasn’t prepared for is the way Misty makes him feel when she’s around him. Neither are able to keep their hands off each other and sparks fly! What happens when Zane confronts Misty about the mistletoe juice?

I loved this story! Talk about original! Some of the hijinks they find themselves in the middle of are hilarious! Mayhem and Mistletoe is a funny and touching Christmas story. The underlying themes of family and happiness are apparent. Some of the sexy scenes are oh so hot too! Motorcyles come to mind…

If you are looking for something in between those long novels then this fits the bill nicely! Read all in one sitting, settle down and let Misty and the crew take you away from all your holiday woes!
