At the end of Midnight’s Captive readers got a tiny glimpse of Phelan and Aisley together. It’s quite obvious he has no clue who she is. He feels her Druid magic. He sees her beauty. He wants her. He chases her for months. Phelan has mad skills when it comes to getting women. The fact that Aisley continues to run from him keeps him chasing her.
Aisley knows exactly who and what Phelan is. She has a pretty good idea of why he is chasing her. She also knows that she has to make sure that her cousin Jason has been permanently stopped before she can let anyone near her. She knows the atrocities that he is capable of and she is determined to prevent them.
From the get go Phelan and Aisley were going to have a rough go at anything resembling a relationship. Both of them have some major trust issues. They may be fighting the same evil but there are so many unknowns between them it makes everything difficult. Luckily for them and the readers the one thing they are good at, they are exceedingly hot at. Aisley and Phelan know how to keep the pages hot.
The more I read of the Dark Warriors the more I want the Dark Kings books to hurry up and get here. The Dragon Kings had a huge presence in Midnight’s Captive. Several of them made an appearance in Midnight’s Temptation. I am so totally ready for their books! Let’s face it dragon shifters are sexy. Donna has given them a Scottish accent and a mysterious past. It’s guaranteed awesomeness.
