She's perfectly content to work for a security company, masquerading as a simple mage. When the leader of all the dragon clans personally requests her as a bodyguard, Lara fears her secret is blown, or worse. What danger could possibly make Rafael Dragoi, the powerful Astarot, seek protection?

Myths and Legends 101, by L.A. Kelley

Anthropology professor Jim Calloway is convinced the recent eerie phenomena at Octavian College are due to his overactive imagination until he meets Keilana Yamada and her eccentric grandfather, Toshi. Dazzled by the beautiful Keilani, Jim volunteers to help hunt for an ancient evil roaming the ivied halls. Can a mild-mannered academic find his inner demon hunter and a way into Keilani’s heart? Or will a supernatural predator with an insatiable hunger destroy them first?

The Keeper, by Sharon Saracino

Anthologies are great ways to discover new authors. Normally I find there is usually one author in the list that is the reason why I pick it up. In this case, the reason why I picked up Moon, Mist & Magic was because of Sharon Saracino. However, now that I finished I find myself wanting to read more of the other authors.

A Ghost of a Chance by Abigail Owen

Stars – 4

Normally I am not a ghost story fan but in this case, I really enjoyed this story. Josie was quite the treat and I found myself giggling a few times as she spoke to her brother’s ghost while trying to not make it obvious to Bryce. As short as this story is, I still felt myself captivated as Josie finally trust Bryce to tell them the truth. The story ends on a happy note with just enough tease of more to come and enticing enough that I want more.

Dangerous Dreams, by J.C. McKenzie

Stars – 4.5

Dragons? Did you say dragons! I love dragons and I loved this story! I’m very intrigued by Lara. Why is she hiding her dragon nature? There’s quite the mystery surrounding her. Raf and his dragon, honestly I don’t know who I liked more. The twist and secret in the story leave me begging for more when it ends on quite the cliffy. What? No! What happens to Lara and Raf? I need more! Consider yourself warned.

Myths and Legends 101, by L.A. Kelley

Stars – 3.5

Such a cute, fun story. You can’t help but like Jim. The predicament he finds himself in made for a good read. However, for me the true star of the story was Toshi. His antics and commentaries had me giggling. The ancient evil, not what I expected. There were a few added twists that I didn’t see coming and everything ends on a happy note.

The Keeper, by Sharon Saracino

Stars – 4

ACK! This one’s a toughie because there are some many secrets to be discovered. Lips are sealed on this one but Olivia’s secret is quite the doozy! The secrets, the unexpected agendas, and how everything played out was simply delightful but has me wishing the story were longer. There’s a nice HEA for almost everybody, and who doesn’t get theirs…too freaking bad!

Witch You Were Here, by Maureen L. Bonatch

Stars – 3.5

Another fun one filled with past regrets and making wrongs right. Lucy is quite the sassy one. Shane I didn’t care for at first but by the end, I adored. High school years are not always what they are cracked up to be and these two have some share history to overcome. Their working out their issues and revealing their secrets made for a nice story. Great ending with a HEA that had me smiling.
