Review: Pack’s Broken Heart (Western Wolves # 2) by Gwen Campbell

Book two of the Western Wolves

Sergeant Owen Wells is finally stateside. He goes home to a place he’s never seen and tries to fit into a werewolf pack that doesn’t take kindly to interloping males. But Owen’s got some skills they need. He’s sent on a covert mission to find out why a neighboring sheriff was murdered and why the hierarchy in that pack is crumbling.

Problem is, he can’t keep his paws off a certain aggravating female deputy sheriff, even though the pack’s interim sheriff, Tom, is sniffing around her too. All it takes is one pack run to show them that they might be missing out on something wonderful—and that three in bed is the perfect number.

Now they just have to figure out who the bad guys are and why they’re gunning for Owen.

Inside Scoop: In their new three-way relationship, Owen and Tom do more than share Suzanne—they enjoy each other in hot male/male interactions.

A Romantica® paranormal erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

While trying to keep his paws off the female deputy sheriff who also has the interim sheriff sniffing around her Owen will have to work with them to figure who the bad guys are and why they are gunning for him in this thrilling erotic shifter romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with suspense, excitement and passion. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the well orchestrated suspense draws the reader deeper into the story. The characters are strong, compelling and invite the reader to visit their pack and ensure that the reader wants to know everything.

Owen’s been alone too long and has no desire to become part of a pack much less become the Alpha, but the attraction he feels for Suzanne flares out of control and when he finds out he is attracted to Tom as well, their passion explodes from the pages with scorching hot lust that singes the readers. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as the three try work out their relationship, especially as all three are dominant wolves which cause a few clashes.

Spine tingling tension builds throughout as the danger escalates with surprising twists to keep the readers on their toes and emotional situations that grip the heart in this fascinating and sensual story with lots of captivating characters. I enjoyed the first book in the series, but I have to say that this one surpasses it, mostly because the story is longer and really ensures that the reader becomes completely engaged and ensnared by the story and vibrant characters and I can’t wait to read the next one.
