Review: The Paramedic and the Writer (Ellery Mountain) by R.J. Scott

Paramedic Jamie Llewelyn rescues accused murderer John Doe from a crash and his life will never be the same again.

Paramedic Jamie Llewelyn moves to Ellery to start a new life away from the City. Attached to the hospital and working for his friend Liam Wolfe he's happy—even if he has to keep coming up with excuses to miss the Friday meet ups. He had peace and he could finally make a difference in a community that needed him.

When he and Max rescue John Doe from a crashed car balanced on the edge of a ravine Jamie didn’t know but his life would never be the same again. John opens his startlingly violet eyes and suddenly Jamie is falling hard. If only John didn’t have a gun and could remember why he’d shot the passenger in the car. Then maybe passion could change into something else. Love.

R.J. Scott’s newest Ellery Mountain series, The Paramedic and the Writer hit it out of the park. Once again the boisterous Friday Night Crew are together for life and adventure in the little town of Ellery. Jaime, paramedic and friend of Liam assisted in the rescue of a John Doe; a man who intrigued Jaime from the moment he opened his violet colored eyes.

The Paramedic and the Writer delivered real life with a dose of genuineness, angst, love and hurt. What intrigues me about this series is that nothing is sugar- coated nor always solved in the course of a book. Life comes with the good and the bad and the couples of Ellery Mountain face their dilemmas stoically.

Jaime and Ian are compassionate and caring people. Always out to help others while placing themselves on the back burner. The two men are perfect for each other, desiring to settle down with someone special, Jaime and Ian found they are compatible in so many ways.

They discovered friendship and companionship in the face of adversity and build into a loving partnership.

Ms. Scott delivered synergy with the lovely and heartwarming couples. Lovers. Friends. Family. Daniel’s Veteran’s House is about to open and leads the way for the next book in the series.

Beautiful souls fill the pages of the story. A must read.
