Review: Politician Won (The Thresl Chronicles #3) by Amber Kell

Book Three in the The Thresl Chronicles series.

Zander Elios only wanted his Thresl to transform into his mate. Little did he know that once the Thresl changed, Zander would be the one who had to make the most adjustments.

Zander had just about given up on his Thresl ever changing forms. After two years, the beast was still in his cat shape with no signs of changing any time soon. When his health becomes precarious and his Thresl shifts to save him, Zander wonders if he was truly meant to be a mate of one of these special shapeshifters.

As part of his new duties as ambassador to the Thresl king, he is sent to investigate the source of the Thresl smuggling. Unfortunately, when things go wrong they go very wrong and Zander’s Thresl, Leo, is kidnapped. It will take all of his love and diplomatic skills to find their way back together.

Politician Won the third book in the Thresl Chronicles picks up during the epilogue of the second book. Zander is mingling at Kres and Vohne’s wedding. He is lamenting his frustrations about his own Thresl not shifting to human form. The lack of transformation has also allowed an incredible amount of sexual frustration to build up. Zander’s Thresl has bonded to him to an extent.

The unshifted Thresl is extremely possessive of his human. Zander and his Thresl do have a strong connection as they currently are and this allows for them to communicate telepathically. The conversations are funny at times. Unforeseen circumstances force Leo to finally take his human fleshy shape. He is not pleased by this initially. Leo loves his beast. Leo also loves his mate Zander and will do anything to save him, even if he has to leave his beast behind to do so.

I enjoyed Leo so much. His possessiveness was quality entertainment.  He liked his beast. He loved having a tail. To hell with flesh and being bi-pedal, he was keeping his kitty on. I’m enjoying where the Thresl trafficking story is going. Vohne is turning out to be a wonderful leader for his people. He is a king that truly wants what is best for his people. He is also willing to make drastic changes to see to their well-being.

I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series. I am almost positive I know who the next couple is and I am so excited about that!
