Review: Rabbit Creek Santa (The Wolvers #3.5) by Jacqueline Rhoades

It's Christmas!...

Things are going well in Rabbit Creek. Elizabeth has taken her duties as the Alpha's Mate to heart and as the story opens, that heart is breaking for the loneliness and isolation of one of her pack. It's Christmas Eve and no one should be lonely at Christmas.

Lindy doesn't feel like she has much to celebrate. After two years of widowhood, she can barely make ends meet without the aid of her pack and while her inner wolf is ready to move on, Lindy isn't sure she can let go of the past.

New to the pack, Travis had party plans for the Holidays, but he ends up playing Santa to a pretty little widow and her pup. She's not what he was looking for, but she's exactly what he wants and his inner wolf agrees. Now all he has to do is convince Lindy that Christmas gifts aren't always the ones you find under the tree.

What a sweet treat Rabbit Creek Santa was. Filled with happy and bittersweet moments this new entry in The Wolvers really hit the spot. Author Jacqueline Rhoades has a way of creating characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Lindy, Travis and Joey are no exception.

Elizabeth and Marshall were one of my favorites of this series and to see them pop up again was quite the treat. Of course they are somewhat meddling matchmakers but that’s ok. A more deserving couple I have yet to see. Lindy is a sweet sad character. It’s never easy being a young widow but one as a parent has got to be the worst. Travis is just as lonely being new to the pack. Gentle sparks fly between these two in such a sweet way. My giggle moments came with little Joey and his Piyo. Of course, they can’t have a complete smooth sailing between Lindy and Travis but eventual, their journey to their HEA was a perfect ending to this short story.

I’ve been hooked on The Wolvers from the beginning and have been really hoping for something new. Rabbit Creek Santa perfectly fit that void. This novella can be read as a stand-alone but why only take a taste when you can read the whole series. Now for the hard part. Waiting around for the next in the series. Oh wait, I see it’s already out. CLICK!
