Title: Rendezvous With Yesterday
Modern-day bounty hunter Bethany Bennett helps her brother track two fugitives to a forest outside of Houston, Texas. But what should have been a routine apprehension of two bail skippers spirals out of control and ends in violence. After Beth and her brother are both seriously injured, a mysterious figure suddenly looms over her. And, when the smoke clears, Beth finds herself not only in another place, but in another time.
As Lord Robert, Earl of Fosterly, attempts to identify and track down the nameless enemy who has been plaguing his lands and people with violence, the most peculiar woman stumbles into his path. Small, vulnerable, yet possessed of a bold, fiery spirit and wicked sense of humor, she persists in dubbing Robert and his men members of something called a medieval reenactment group . . . until she sees his castle and labels herself mad. It seems bounty hunter Bethany Bennett has come to him from the future, bringing with her laughter and chaos, swiftly winning the hearts of his people and inspiring within him a love he thought he would never experience again. But when Robert discovers a way for her to return to her time, will the love they share be enough to keep them together?

If you’ve had the pleasure of reading Night Reigns you’ll know a little about Bethany. Marcus knew Bethany from his years at Fosterly. As a long lived Immortal Guardian he had the opportunity to spend time with her in the present, before she experienced 1203 medieval England.
Rendezvous with Yesterday is an amazing time travel romance with a small dash of sci fi/paranormal. Seth from the Immortal Guardians brings the other than human aspect to the book. Bethany’s brother Josh is doing his normal bounty hunter tacking of fugitives when he agrees to take his sister along on a job. The business partner that typically would have accompanied him was away on another job. Josh never would have taken his very capable sister along had it not been for the longshot of finding the criminals they were after. Of course nothing goes as planned and Bethany finds herself in a forest completely different than the one she and her brother were in a gunfight in.
Someone is harming the people of Fosterly and Lord Robert, Earl of Fosterly plans on finding the marauders and stopping them from doing further harm. The last thing he expects to find in the forest near his land is an oddly dressed woman, who talks even stranger, everything about her is different yet he can’t help himself from wanting to know more about her.
The lengths that Bethany goes through during her first few days at Fosterly to find proof that she is still in modern day Texas got a little annoying. Then again she had just experienced the impossible. Robert never treated Bethany as if she were crazy. Robert is a little ahead of his time (which are still far behind Bethany’s time) thanks to his sister in law Alyssa. Overall as a couple they worked. Robert is kind and playful in his attentions to Bethany. Bethany is spirited and has this knack for rolling with the punches. She seems like she could adapt to just about anything.
