Review – Revealed to Him (Kerr Chronicles #3) by Jen Frederick

Handsome and tough Jake Tanner, a veteran and the owner of a successful security firm, never lets his past hold him back. Despite his prosthetic hand and foot, women swoon over him—and with him between the sheets. Yet Jake feels bored and restless…until he’s hired to protect a beautiful writer whose life is in terrible danger.

Self-imprisoned by the fear of the anonymous stalkers who threaten her life, video-game writer Natalie Beck now only dreams of the world outside her pink-bedecked apartment. Trusting people again is off-limits. But the more time Jake spends with her, the more his professional commitment evolves from simple duty to scorching desire. While deeply sensual sparks ignite between the two, the danger outside circles closer. Will Jake’s intense devotion be enough to save Natalie? Or will she turn away from the one man willing to do anything to save her?

That’s right. You read it right. 5 STARS!!!!!

Let me first start by saying that I am a fan of this series in general. I loved Tiny and Ian’s story, loving it more that it took up two books in the series. So when I saw that this story revolved around Jake and not Kaga, I was a little worried. But holy mother of wowza! This BLEW MY MIND!!!!!!

I’m having a difficult time holding my tears in while writing this, so if I start to babble, well, deal with it. Lol.

Jake is the owner of the security firm Tiny (from previous books) works for. When we first met him, it wasn’t hard to see that he had a heart of gold and went out of his way to make sure that everyone was comfortable. I guess that just went along with his job, right. Wrong. He’s just THAT AWESOME of a guy. When he’s commissioned to look into a stalker situation, he finds himself completely mesmerized by the one being stalked, Natalie.

Natalie is a very successful writer who lived the “normal” life until someone threatened her. Now, she is literally afraid of fear itself and can’t even open the front door to her own home without some serious work. When her cousin steps, hiring Jake, Natalie has the perfect “distraction” to help her through her fear. The distraction was totally working until the stalker shows up again and throws everything she’s accomplished away.

In regards to the story, this is all you’re going to get from me because it’s THAT cool and you just need to read it for yourself. But I will add this. When two people can relate to each other through tragic events, who’s to say it won’t work? Who’s to say that they can’t use each other as comfort to gain some sort of control in their lives?

This was so well written; I was pulled into this from the very beginning. Without giving anything away, I think I loved the ending the most. Was it a HEA? Duh, of course. But it’s the way in which it becomes the HEA that has put a permanent smile on my face.

Dear Author, PLEASE let Kaga and Sabrina be next…PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!! 😀
