Review: Revenge (Southwestern Shifters #8) by Bailey Bradford

There isn’t a safe place in the world when someone wants you dead more than they want to live.

Ryder Johansen is trying to figure out the shifter world. He was turned without his consent, another bad thing in a life filled with shitty choices. Now he’s learning that he doesn’t have to be an untrustworthy jerk. He can be more than the sum of his past.

Maarten Visser is at a loss with his life. His pack abandoned him—him! Their alpha!—once his brother Luuk was back in power. Maybe a trip to visit the North America Alpha Anax will give him some perspective. Or maybe it’ll kill him.

Marcus and Nathan are getting their pack past the attack that destroyed their other compound. They’ve got everyone settled in a new, secure place. Except it’s not as secure as they thought, and someone is out to destroy them and hurt Marcus as much as possible along the way.

Ryder is trying to figure out the shifter world, Maarten is at loss with his life, Marcus and Nathan are getting their pack past the attack that destroyed their other compound and just when they think everything is secure…they are attacked by someone out to destroy them and hurt Marcus in the worst possible way in this thrilling m/m shifter romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of action, suspense and passion.  The well written scenes and details capture the imagination making it easy for the reader to picture the story as it happens and the well orchestrated suspense and action is believable and exciting. The strong compelling characters of the Southwestern Pack continue to charm readers and ensure that they are caught up in their stories.

This book has lots of red hot passion exploding from the pages with frequent sex scenes that scorch the readers with their fiery intensity. There is Ryder’s mating with Maarten and let me just say that is one I didn’t see coming but I think they are perfect for one another will help each other immensely, then there is lots of passion from Marcus and Nathan during this story to spice up the pages even more.

Spine tingling tension builds as it becomes obvious that someone else has it in for the pack and the danger escalates injuring several wolves and killing others which adds not only a lot of turmoil in the pack but for the reader as well.  The reader is also kept guessing in trying to figure out who the new enemy is as there are a few different possibilities and as this story closes some past issues it also opens up future possibilities for the pack and I can’t wait to read the next one.
