Title: Ride Hard
A shy and distrustful woman running from a controlling ex-fiance seeks shelter with an outlaw motorcycle club with a tradition of protecting those who can't defend themselves, and falls under the watchful eye of the club's mysterious and intense leader who's intent on discovering all her secrets
Brotherhood. Club. Family.
They live and ride by their own rules.
These are the Raven Riders . . .
Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon rides hard and values loyalty above all else. He’ll do anything to protect the brotherhood of bikers—the only family he’s got—as well as those who can’t defend themselves. So when mistrustful Haven Randall lands on the club’s doorstep scared that she’s being hunted, Dare takes her in, swears to keep her safe, and pushes to learn the secrets overshadowing her pretty smile.
Haven fled from years of abuse at the hands of her criminal father and is suspicious of any man’s promises, including those of the darkly sexy and overwhelmingly intense Ravens’ leader. But as the powerful attraction between them flares to life, Dare pushes her boundaries and tempts her to want things she never thought she could.
The past never dies without a fight, but Dare Kenyon’s never backed down before . . .

Laura Kaye has done it again with her new spin-off series, Raven Riders! Ride Hard is the first novel that opens up a little bit after what went down in the last few books of the Hard Ink series. Hard Ink was a military romance series whereas Raven Riders is a motorcycle club romance series. I have read my share of MC Romance and sadly there are only a few that have stolen my heart. Some can be either too dark or too light that borders on unreal. So when I was asked if I wanted to review Ride Hard, I was all over it but a little bit wary as well. I should have known that Miss Kaye would not disappoint!
We meet Haven and Cora in the middle of the Hard Ink series quite briefly as they were rescued from the Church Gang who were involved in human trafficking; then Haven and Cora were moved to the Raven’s compound. As we come to find out, Haven is the daughter of a crime thug trying to make his way to the top. He has used Haven to advance his goals but Haven knows the only way to live and be free is to run.
Dean “Dare” Kenyon is the president of the Raven’s and he has made it their mission to help those who cannot defend themselves. Coming from a tragic past, he has barely lived knowing he could have saved his loved ones from the one sworn to protect them. He has always put his club first because he does not want to fail again. Then one fair haired beauty too young to know better brings light back into his dark world.
As Dare spends his time trying to fight the attraction he feels for Haven, Haven spends her new freedom trying to “Live Dangerously”. Dare wants her safe as he starts to care more and more for her but he does not believe she can be with him. It broke my heart watching these two struggle to find a safe place to land and fight for their relationship. Yes there are times when Dare would do something really stupid I would want to slap him, but then again he is such a guy. Sometimes it felt like Haven was a little too trusting when it came to the Ravens, even if they were a great bunch based on her past experience and the many times Dare felt she could have been taken advantage of in his own club.
With that being said I can only thing left to say is that this is going to be an awesome series you can get into because of all the great men in Ride Hard. To our awesome Laura Kaye I truly hope that Slider and Caine get their own HEAs. Please, oh please tell us they are! On a side note it was awesome to find out that this series was inspired by a real MC called BACA, Bikers Against Child Abuse!
I was gifted a copy from the JeepDiva in exchange for an honest review. The opinions and ratings are my own and I was in no way compensated.
