Through with both her controlling ex and relationships, Ava Webber is determined to explore the spicy and sometimes forbidden appetites of the exclusive BDSM nightclub, Serve. Here, she'll get exactly what she needs...as long as it's from a man she doesn't know.

Nolan Hart ensures that Serve's clients get what they want, how they want it. But with one look at the curvy brunette, Nolan knows he’s the man to fulfill her desires. As the anonymous lover, he's Ava’s dirtiest fantasy. Outside of Serve, he's her charming, smartass friend.

But Nolan wants more. More than Ava is willing to give. And as long as the blindfold stays on, she'll never discover that the two men she's falling for are one and the same...

Ava Webber comes to NYC after a failed marriage with a controlling husband.  Never does she want to feel like that again.  When she decides to explore her sexual fantasies at the hottest BDSM sex club in NYC, she requires total anonymity.  She just wants to let go and feel.  Not have to think, not have to make decisions, not have control, and not know who its with.
Nolan Hart is the manager of the club, Serve, and always makes sure his clients are happy and satisfied with their experiences.  When he interviews Ava for her application, he’s drawn to her.  Never has he had that instant attraction before, and there has been a lot of women who has crossed his path.  When Ava explains her need to be pushed to her limits and is open to “anything”, he takes precautions.  He is the only man who he trusts to fulfill her fantasies without going too far.  She wants anonymity? He can be her anonymous lover.  He didn’t expect to develop feelings for her along the way.Once Ava’s appointments at Serve start, she is all to happy to get to experience all that her anonymous lover, Myth, has to offer. But questions do arise, and since no words are spoken by Myth, she strikes up a friendship with Nolan.  She begins spending a lot of time with him outside the club. Both are falling before they realize it, so the boundaries set start to blur.  Nolan wonders if Ava wants him or Myth, and Ava questions if she really wants Myth or Nolan after all. When her lover is ultimately revealed, can Ava accept both sides of the same man??  You have to pick up this little gem to find out!
I really had a great time reading this book!  Joya Ryan writes characters that you just wanted to cheer for.  They just “got” the other at a raw level.  Rules of Seduction is billed as a BDSM novel primarily because it takes place at the club Serve, but it is not.  Don’t get me wrong, even though there are no BDSM scenes, the scenes we are treated to are off the chart hot and steamy! I also loved all the witty banter between Ava and Nolan!  So much fun!  The only thing I would have liked to see, is a bit more explanation of Ava’s failed marriage. It’s obvious he did a number on her and she was still carrying around that baggage. It wasn’t a big deal though. This is my first novel by Joya Ryan.  She has a real knack for writing and now I am definitely intrigued to read more of her work!
