Title: Screaming Orgasm
Jayne Kent has watched her best friends and business partners fall in love while romance continues to pass her by. When Books and Brew regular Elias Clark offers her a Screaming Orgasm, she wishes it was the sexual variety rather than a lousy drink. She’s been lusting after Elias forever and suspects he could bring all her naughty, kinky fantasies to life.
Elias has resisted his attraction to Jayne for years, assuming his dominance in the bedroom would send sweet, romantic Jayne running for the hills. Or would it? Alone in a snowstorm, Elias tests the waters and is blown away by Jayne’s innate submissiveness and eagerness to stretch her boundaries. Ice play? Bondage? Flogging? Bring it on.
Soon it’s no longer a question of whether or not Elias should pursue Jayne, even if she’s not sure she’s brave enough to submit to him forever. She’s made for him, and this determined alpha male will stop at nothing until he’s claimed her—completely.

The Cocktales series follows four friends as they start a business and find love. Each book is about a different friend and while they all have parts in the books they can each be read as a stand alone.
Elias has been going to Books and Brew for threes years. He enjoys watching Jayne, an introverted bookworm, who he believes has submissive tendencies. Jayne has been watching Elias as well. They always talk when he comes in and have formed a friendship. But that isn’t all that Jayne wants. She thinks Elias is into the BDSM scene and her deepest desire is to experience some of that world under his tutelage.
I loved Jayne and Elias. Some of my favorite stories are friends to lovers and I enjoyed how that developed here. Since there is BDSM in this book it seemed to make a lot of sense to have them be friends as I would imagine there would need to be a lot of trust between them.
There is a lot of sex in this book and it was all hot! I loved how diverse the scenes where and how Elias slowly shows Jayne what he enjoys and doesn’t push to much on her too fast. There is bondage, spankings, anal sex, ect. If hot kinky sex isn’t your cup of tea, I would stay away from this book.
But it wasn’t all about hot sex. Carr did a good job of opening the characters up slowly so you could see how and why they felt as they did. Jayne had real issues from her past that were weighing her down while Elias was leery of having a permanent sub relationship.
My main complaint was that this book was so short. We really only se them together for about a month and most of that is passed as ‘A week later’ kind of thing. There is talk of a sex club that Elias is a member of but we don’t actually see that and I think that would have been a lot of fun to delve into. I wanted more time with Elias and Jayne after they stopped fighting but I think that is the mark of a good book, you always want more. I really enjoyed Carr’s writing and I will be looking for more by her in the future.
