Review: Seduced by Sunday (The Weekday Brides #6) by Catherine Bybee
The sixth sweet, thrilling book in the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Weekday Brides series from Catherine Bybee.
Meg Rosenthal: Matchmaker by day, realist by night, Meg is not about to get swept away by a charming, darkly handsome businessman in a designer suit. She’s come to a beautiful secluded resort to evaluate the private island’s potential for her agency, not to ogle its owner. But there’s something about the magnetic man that’s hard to resist, even for a woman who refuses to fall in love.
Valentino Masini: A successful and drop-dead sexy businessman, Valentino is used to having the finer things in life. Yet he’s never wanted someone the way he wants Meg, who’s stirring up a hurricane of trouble in his heart. But just as he decides to convince her to stay, someone else decides it might be time to get Meg off the island…permanently.

I have had so much fun reading this book! Great characters, awesome setting, and a feel good romance that had me from the start! I loved how this book evolved and I literally didn’t want to put it down for nothing! A girl’s gotta eat right? Wrong! It can wait, I’m reading….

Seduced by Sunday is book six in The Weekday Bride series by Catherine Bybee. I read this as a standalone novel. There were a lot of characters to keep track of and I was a bit worried as how I would keep up. But by the second chapter, the story just flowed, taking me along with it!

Meg Rosenthal is a planner. She plans for the elite of the elite. Where security is paramount and behind-the-scenes mergers and acquisitions are the norm. She decides to do a re-con mission to an island resort whose claim to fame is a paparazzi-free vacation. In her line of work, this could prove to be very valuable information. Along for the ride is Michael, her best-friend’s, mega-actor, still-in-the-closet, gay brother. What better way to test the resort than with the ruse of being his “girlfriend”.

Through a series of resort security checks, Michael is cleared while Meg is denied clearance to come to the island for their “vacation”. It royally pisses her off so she engages the owner of the island resort, Valentino Masini, by email. Through barbed correspondence, Meg is eventually granted access to the resort.

Valentino Masini, sexy, smoldering, Italian, hunk of a man is nothing that Meg expected once arriving to the island. Her anger turns to intrigue and lust! The feeling is obviously mutual as their chemistry just screams off the pages!

I love the island setting of the book! The sun, fun, and waves are so alluring, you wish you are right there watching this romance unfold. But there is so much more going on than just this romance. All these characters presented have a role, and as a mystery unfolds, it doesn’t overshadow the romance blooming in any way. Too much going on you ask? Not really, it actually enhances the complexity of the story!

For anybody that is looking for a total escape from the hum-drum, grab this and prepare to be enthralled! I was totally addicted to the story and loved all the intrigue and suspense all while the romance is simmering in the background the entire time! The characters are believable and the plot twists stand out among the everyday.

This was a fascinating love story that pulled at my heartstrings and quenched my thirst for suspense I didn’t even know I had! It is such a treat to be transported away, even for a spell, and Ms. Bybee accomplished that in spades. She made me feel and the ending was absolutely the best! I know I will be reading more of her work. Bravo!
