Review: Seducing Seven (What Happens in Vegas #9) by M.K. Meredith

He bet on logic. She bet on love.

Romance author Seven Michaels believes in love to her very core. She has to--not only for herself, but for her readers. So when luxury salesman Blake Turner insults not only her books but the people who read them, Seven's ready to throw down. How dare a playboy like Blake insinuate romance lovers are full of crap?

He wants proof? Fine. She bets Blake she can make him fall for her by using the rules in her latest novel before the end of the convention, or she'll denounce love in front of all her fellow authors and fans at the Romance Lovers Convention ball. A dangerous game to be sure, but humiliating Blake is worth the risk.

But when Seven realizes she's the one who's being seduced, she's no longer sure who is playing whom...or whether she'll have a career when the bet is over.

Seven Michaels is a romance writer attending a book convention when she meets Blake Turner. Seven believes in romance. How else can she write the stories her readers want if she doesn’t. Blake doesn’t believe in romance or love for that matter. His Father’s words have drilled that thought home. He ultimately insults Seven by telling her her romance stories and the people that buy into them are full of crap! Seven takes exception to that and bets Blake she can make him fall in love with her by the end of both their conventions by using her rules of seduction laid out in her latest novel. If she loses, she has to come clean at the Romance convention ball about love being a fallacy, and if he loses, he as to hand out her book to his colleagues touting the wonders of love.

This book is loveable! The bet is kinda funny, but both take it pretty seriously. They lay out some ground rules number one being to dine breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. They have to get to know one another. Time is short to make this happen. I thought it was hilarious that Blake felt he had to get a leg up on the competition so he skirts the rules every chance he’s got. He reasons with himself that it’s just to get to know his competitor better. And he starts by reading her novel! I could just picture this big, sexy, man-beast reading a romance novel in the middle of his seminars! Thanks to his ereader, of course. Even though we know where this story is going, I felt the trip is very much worth the time needed to take the voyage! I look forward to additional books written by M.K. Meredith!
