Review: Siren in Stilettos by Alexis Reed

This story is set in the same world as Closer to Fire.

Savara is idani, a succubus, feeding on the sexual energy of others to survive—and survive she must in a brutal breeding program intended to splice her DNA with that of other powerful races.

Kai is a dragon shifter, one of those on whom she’s supposed to feed. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love with him. And if they escape this nightmare, she might lose him forever, to a true mate among his own kind. But they have to try, even as they and their allies are pursued by Levian, a powerful incubus who wants Savara for himself.

Inside Scoop: This story features a villain who uses sexual coercion to achieve his ends—and a sizzling mixed foursome that requires no coercion at all.

Savara, an idani and Kai, a dragon shifter are both trapped in a lab and forced to participate in a brutal breeding program. They finally are able to escape only to be pursued by a powerful incubus who wants Savara for himself in this riveting erotic paranormal romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, excitement and passion. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the fascinating and complex world draws the reader in and ensures that the reader wants to know every last detail while the strong and bewitching characters grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

There is lots of extremely hot passion in this story with frequent sizzling sex scenes between Kai and Savara and if that’s not enough add in two more sexy dragons shifters to make a foursome that scorches the reader. The relationship starts off rocky because dragons hate idani and Savara is unsure about whether a relationship between them can work out. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as they not only work on their romance, but they have a lot of stuff on their agenda as well…like escaping the evil lab and staying ahead of the psychotic incubus.

Spine tingling anticipation builds throughout the story as there is never a dull moment between all the exciting action and the scrumptious passion. The world is a complex world with some interesting and refreshingly different elements that tantalize the reader with promises of lots of fantasy inducing stories to come. I haven’t read the first book yet and I was a tad bit confused at the beginning of this one, but it quickly cleared up and I couldn’t put the story down until I had read every last word, so I am looking forward to reading the next one and of course I will be reading the first one as well.
