Be careful what you wish for. Kiera Patrick learns just how fast wishes can turn deadly in this thrilling romance. Kiera’s boss tasks her, her partner Josh and Special Operative Hayden Foxworth to decide the fate of an evil grimoire. Now Kiera has to deal with the magical fallout of their decision and her attraction to Hayden.
This fast paced plot smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of action and passion. The strong compelling characters draw the reader along on their race to avoid all the contract killers after them and the author brings that race to vivid life with well orchestrated scenes and details that capture the imagination.
The attraction between Kiera and Hayden is instantly hot enough to scorch the pages and the frequent sex scenes are draw the reader into a fiery inferno of passion. The relationship builds rather quickly despite all the danger the couple are in, but they seem to be just what the other needs in their life.
The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the drama and excitement of being on the run and trying to determine just who is really after them and the introduction to new magical characters adds lots of intriguing spice to the story. This short novella is enjoyable and entertaining but the since main conflict of the story continues in Josh’s story, and Hayden’s story began in Edge of Ecstasy, I must recommend that they be read in order and close together to get the full impact. And with that being said, I am off to read the next one.
