Michael Sebastian thought Curacao would be the perfect place to have a little fun in the sun—and between the sheets. So far, no one has struck his interest, until Sam Anderson walks into the bar. With one look at his tense body and expensive suit, Michael knows that this is a man in need of release. And Michael is more than willing to lend a hand.
Shattered by the most intense sex he’s ever had, Sam has to face the facts—one night with a handsome, dominating stranger is all he gets before returning to the closet he’s been suffocating in for years. But when Sam starts his new job as the CEO of a failing technology company, he discovers that Michael is one of his new employees.
While Michael is desperate for another night with Sam, he knows he shouldn’t get involved with his boss, let alone another man who can’t accept who he is. But as they’re forced to work together to save the company, the desire sparking between them becomes impossible to ignore.

What happens in Curacao does not stay in Curacao even though it would make life easier (less pleasurable) for Michael and Sam. On the surface it is easy to see the roles and how they will play out. Mike likes to bend suits over and give it right back to them. Sam is the one in control of everything within the companies that he is bringing back from the brink of failure, he needs to just let go and lose control. This is a constant when Michael and Sam are together, but there is so much more going on. It all tied together for something very sexy with a large side if kink.
Michael to Sam: “No title. No last name. The only thing I care about is what you are right now.”
That was all that Mike needed going into his last night on vacation fling. After a week there he had finally found the one thing he had been looking before he went back to work. Work is no longer a happy place for Mike and it hasn’t been for several years. He knows the company is on the cusp of big changes and he’s hoping that the company (its employees and himself) will come out the otherside with little damage.
Sam to Michael: “No one has ever made me fly like you do.”
Life as a very successful tough as nails CEO doesn’t allow him to ever remove his mask or come out of the closet. He’s become used to this life and sadly the company of his hand. Chance encounters like Curacao are rare and his uses those memories to fuel far too many fantasies. So when he sees Michael in the crowded meeting of the company that he is temporarily taking over he nearly loses a tiny bit of that control that hold him together. Everytime he sees Michael he is filled with what-ifs and left desiring something he truly believes a gay man can’t have in the brutal business industry.
I’ve only seen this mentioned in other reviews so please take note that there is a lot of kink going on in Sam and Michael’s sexual relationship. And it is hot! These two men know exactly what they enjoy and it compliments them both perfectly. It also makes for some hot romance. Michael and Sam trying to get on the same page in life outside of the bedroom makes for some intense reading. They may know exactly what they want in every aspect of their life, but admitting it then acting on it is uncharted territory.
