Title: The Tempted
A MAN CONSUMED BY RAGE
Stefan Kennedy is cursed by a gypsy and sentenced to a prison of darkness and despair. A hell that only serves to feed the monster within. Unexpectedly released from his mystical cell, he’s engulfed by fury and overcome by a need for vengeance. Until a beautiful woman tames his inner beast. Stefan owes it to his friends to find out what happened to them after their run-in with the gypsy, but the mysterious and enchanting Morvan may be a temptation he can't resist.
A WOMAN’S MAGICAL TOUCH
Morvan has always been a child of the forest. She spends her days using her gifts to calm and heal the animals she encounters. But when she finds herself compelled across clan borders to a mysterious cliff with a wall of strange etchings, she’s helpless to resist. Somehow, Morvan magically brings forth a stranger seemingly more beast than man, yet despite the inherent dangers, she's driven to help the handsome Highlander. While his appearance in her life may end up shattering the peace she’s worked so hard to find, he could also prove to be the man of her dreams.

I’ve read each of the books in the series, and love the continuing thread: four young highlanders were cursed by a gypsy after a love affair gone wrong. Stefan was, for me, the most difficult character to empathize with: although he was cursed while being in the wrong place at the wrong time, his own personal demons kept him dancing on the edge of near uncontrolled rage.
Cursed to two hundred years of darkness, he suddenly finds himself freed of the prison of nothingness, but his determination to avenge his friends is overwhelming any control that he may have over his rage. Until Morvan.
A child of the woods, clanless and alone, Morvan lives in an isolated cabin that is close to the edge of the clan’s lands. Mostly left to her own devices, Morvan is a gifted healer, using her calming nature and skills on wounded and maimed animals, and any humans who come for aid.
Morvan’s calm and protective nature works wonders on Stefan, even as he is locked in his rage, her touch and scent calm him. Fearing another war between the clans, Stefan takes Morvan to a nearby castle, pushing her to seek refuge within the gates as he heads out to find his friends.
Fortunately for Stefan, he can’t seem to make himself leave in search of his friends, or vengeance for them. For Morvan is being cared for by Leana and Meg, wives of his friends Morcant and Ronan. Another lovely installment in this series, I can’t wait to find out just how Danan’s story brings the series to a close.
