Title: The Bridesmaid And The Bachelor
In this all-new contemporary romance series, the five Elias sisters of Calypso Falls, New York, discover that love sometimes arrives in surprising ways...
The bride may be the one to wear a veil, but this time it’s the bridesmaid who has something to hide. Kyrie Elias has agreed to pretend to be her twin sister in a friend’s big fat Vegas wedding. Pulling off this deception could mean a chance at love for her sister and the forgiving of a loan Kyrie needs to save her struggling coffee shop back in Calypso Falls. But she didn’t count on the wedding party including gorgeous groomsman Ben Sitka, the sexy scientist who came close to stealing her heart two years ago.
Ben would know Kyrie anywhere. The electric connection between them is something she can’t disguise, and something he’s never forgotten—not since she ran out on him after a week of bliss. Now he vows to give this bridesmaid a reason to blush. He’s willing to keep the secret of her true identity, but he’s also determined to expose her true feelings for him, hoping that Kyrie will come to see that the person she’s most deceiving is herself.

Kyrie is in Las Vegas pretending to be her sister Paige. It’s a secret because Paige left with a guy when she is supposed to in her friends wedding. Kyrie owes Paige money for her coffee shop and Paige says she will forgive the loan if she does this for her. They are twins and she thinks no one will notice. But someone does!
Ben, the groom’s brother and best man, spent time together with Kyrie and knows her anywhere. Why is she pretending to be Paige?? Kyrie comes clean to Ben, but swears him to secrecy. Adam, the groom, figures it out as well, but doesn’t want to mess with his bride’s wedding. The biggest problem? Kyrie has never gotten over her time with Ben. This is going to be the death of her, but her coffee shop is worth the heartache.
I have to say I am a huge fan of the second chance at love type stories, but this was a little hard to get into. The circumstance Kyrie finds herself in is odd. I never really felt any chemistry that made me root for this couple. I also felt the reason Kyrie left and never talked to Ben after spending an incredible week with him in the first place, was rather bland. I guess I was missing some true emotions to motivate me want to see them together. I think I would’ve been happier to see some of what they previously shared to move me along.
As this is the first book of the series and the first book by Kris Fletcher I have read, I am hopeful that the following books will be more to my liking.
