Review: The Untamed Pet (Alien Slave Masters #3) by Samantha Cayto

When a distant planet’s ownership is in dispute, conquering aliens turn defiant human males into pampered sex slaves.

Stuart McKay, a young man always on the sidelines of life, has been reinvented as Mac, the beloved pet of an alien navigator. At first an unwilling captive, he’s now fallen hopelessly in love with his master. Narith is Mac’s perfect fantasy lover, so much so that Mac does not hesitate to join him on a frightening trip to the Travian home world.

Narith is a brilliant young officer from a lower caste family who has risen quickly up the ranks and the social and political ladders by making an advantageous mating. A tragedy has him hurrying home to mend familial fences and fend off the predation of another male, while he tries to tamp down his growing feelings for Mac. Narith also cannot bear to leave his pet behind.

Mac and Narith’s relationship is tested by family tensions and brought to the breaking point when Narith reluctantly agrees to share Mac with another male. Mac is devastated by Narith’s seemingly cavalier treatment, while Narith is surprised to realize he is jealous of another male claiming Mac’s body. But more than personal feelings seethe beneath the veneer of domestic harmony and as trouble bubbles to the surface, the fate of Mac’s and Narith’s very lives is at stake.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of non-consensual rape and sex scenes with dubious consent, as well as some brief violence. and torture. This book also contains a scene of M/F intimacy.

This is book 3 of the Alien Slave Masters series by Samantha Cayto and I am falling more and more in love. I was super excited when I had seen this was Stuart’s story. He pulled at your heartstrings in the first book and I could not be happier to have gotten to read his.

Stuart has fallen hopelessly in love with his master Narith. After being beaten daily by Garen, Narith takes care of Stuart in a way one would a mate. Stuart will do anything for his master…even going to his master’s home where Narith has to re-bond with his mate after the loss of their child. Little does he know that his new reality is completely different from his life with Narith aboard the spaceship.

Narith is grieving because of the loss of his child and at odds with himself about his mate taking a second mate. He knew his time away that his mate, Orianna, would undoubtedly take another but he can’t seem to sum up the rightful jealousy and anger towards his new situation. He believes at one point he loved Orianna, though he never was in love with her. The real jealousy comes when his ‘younger brother’, Rone, uses Mac for his own pleasure that he has to fight the urge to challenge Rone.

Narith was a favorite of mine from the very beginning. He seemed to have his goals in order and little shakes him. When seeing how Garen treated Stuart all Narith wanted to do was shelter and protect Stuart. He helped Stuart grow into a fine young man and gave Stuart confidence in his own sexuality as well as his strengths. They really evened each other out.

Sci-Fi Romances have never been my thing but Samantha Cayto does it just right for me! If you love M/M with a lot of heat and some shades of dark, I recommend you grab a copy and submerge yourself into the world she created!
